Thousands of years ago, Astronomy had its roots in Egyptian, Incas of Peru and Aztecs of Mexico.
Egyptians knew the status of planets 4000 years before Christ. They prepared ephemeris. at the same time, Chinese too studied the status of planets. King Hoyangutee built a Planetorium in 2608 BC  Babylonians practiced astrology a few centuries before Christ. Pythagoras (530 BC) propounded that the earth is rotating on its own axis. aristarchus (around 275 BC  claimed that earth revolves around Surya  Aristilan and Timoris (320 - 260 BC  prepared an index of positions of several stars. These studies of planets and their movement lead to study the effects of such movements on mankind, and so astrology was born.
