Is Astrology Related to Science or Religion

Question:
Is astrology related to religion or science? This is a very common question.
This is indeed a controversial question.  There have been many situations where I had to spend several hours providing clarifications for the same, and many classroom sessions on this topics have crossed more than 2 hours.  This is an important question to be clarified because at a global level people are forever looking at astrology as a concept that is based on religion.
First of all we have to understand one thing very clearly.  What is science? What is religion?
  • Religion is something that determines the nature of a thing without visually looking in to it.  There are likely to be different scholars who will declare the results of religious theories and facts based on their personal supportive evidence.
  • Science determines something based on real-time verification of facts.  It states like when something like this is done, something like this will happen and so on.
Since facts proposed by science are visually verifiable, it is considered to be authentic to propose any research scientifically.
Few of the assumptions and facts proposed by religion might fail at a point in time and the assumptions and facts proposed by science might as well fail at a point in time.
As discussed earlier, when one scientist had proposed that atom is indivisible, another scientist proved that it is divisible at a later point in time.
The Buddha had forever been declaring that changes keep taking place perpetually.   The Buddha keeps saying that you cannot touch the same water in the river when you do it time next.  This is because water keeps flowing.  When change is a parameter that is undeniably existing, how can we determine what is the true fact.
Anything that we look at keeps changing with time and with the passing of time, its physical appearance changes and it absolutely disappears as well with the flow of time.  The fact is true for now that is all.  As the days keep moving, the object will be subject to many changes and it will change in to some other thing with time.  Since, an object that we are able to visually perceive keeps changing with time eventually mutating to something else makes us to believe that even an object that we are able to visualize is a temporary and false!  This is indeed a philosophical approach!
People who deal with religion decide several things based on the consistent change theory, without visualizing the object with naked eye.  They accord the deed to something related to God.  Rationalists propose the happening to the act of nature! These are all based on the mental flow of those people.
All we need to get hold of as researchers in the field of astrology is:
  • Facts visually verifiable
  • Facts that are not visually verifiable
The big question to be handled now is about whether astrology provides facts based on:
  • Visual  examination
  • Non-visual perception
Here is the answer!
All facts in Astrology are based on real time visualization of planets and positions.  Astrology does not provide with results based on mere assumptions.
  • We are visually checking in to the planets
  • Asterisms in the sky have been classified in to 12 rashis
  • The infinite numbers of stars in the sky has been classified in to constellations; the asterisms have been identified, thereby creating 27 major nakshatras.
  • 360 degrees have been created
  • Creating imaginary images by the group of fixed stars making an asterism.
Based on the positions of these real time planets, stars and rashi – astrology declares its results.
When this is the case we need to personally decide if this is something that is based on science or that which is based on religion!
Therefore, this is based on science.
  • On the basis of science, the sooner we look in to an object, how are you able to arrive at predictions?  How is it possible?
By asking the above question, scientists will be asking us a long list of questions. In reality, the nature of astrology is not set in a way to make mathematical or observational study from a laboratory.  This might not happen so.
ASTRONOMICAL TRIGGERS THAT CAN CAST IN THE THOUGHT PROCESSES OF THE INDIVIDUAL
What we are going to deal with is to arrive at the thought waves that trigger each and every function of an individual.  We are dealing with the influence that the astronomical triggers can cast in the thought processes of the individual.
This is one of the rare arts, and it holds a credit that can be given only to the science of astrology.  Astrology, when rightly executed, strong and firm declarative predications can be provided about thought patterns and real time events.
Every kind of inner process related to the psychological well-being, psychological discomfort, psychological yearnings, and lot of such stuff can be predicted about how it will happen and when it will come to a safe end.  It is for this reason that astrology is an art form that can live not only today, but forever.
How to predetermine the kind of experiences that a human being might encounter? How to make others about the kind of experiences that they are destined to deal with as human beings?
Are the questions that will be pondered upon in the art of astrology, eventually providing predictions and results based on mathematical projections and astronomical basics! It is because of the reality and factual stuff related to the science and art of astrology that it continues to exist to date as well.
In the field of astrology, by considering the consistent change theory, there is place for change in predictions and assumptions as well.  Every individual horoscope is subject to change.
The result that has been told for one person will change for another person. For some other person again the prediction will change.  Therefore, astrology is something that is based on science. This is because it considers astronomy that is indeed science, the planetary positions per astronomy are taken in to consideration > predications are provided based on Yukthi and Sruthi experience – from the foundations drawn from pure scientific astronomical position of planets by visual reasoning – this is purely science.
When the predictions are to be said, it is based on degrees, because for every individual horoscope, the predications are drawn based on the longitudinal and latitudinal positions of the place of birth of the individual and the changes that follow vary per degrees!
While the fundamentals of astrology are based on astronomy it is science, and since the predication factor is changing with every change in the degree it is an art form.
Astrology is science and predication is an art form.
The predication part is considered to be an art form because the predication is to be told for different people in a different way in compliance with consistent changes. Whatever be the case, astrology is not something that is based on religion.
This is because if something should be declared as religious it should be dealing with lot of invisible aspects.  Since astrology is proposing facts based on stuff that is clearly visible – it has created 360 degrees (this might be an imaginary map); however, the nakshatras and the planets that are visible in the sky are not invisible.  They are clearly visible. And they are real.  They are not imaginary.  Based on the foundation of these, mathematics has been created, and the results are declared after clear visualization. This is something that has science as the basis.
Is there no opportunity for astrology to be considered to be as a religion based phenomena at all?
In reality, the answer is no.  This is because astrology keeps declaring future predications and it does not at any point in time declare opportunities to change the predictions applicable for the future.  It cannot tell either at any point in time.
If it becomes a reality, this can be used as a great tool to bring down our miseries and we can increase the happy effects as well.  Since astrology cannot increase happiness or decrease sadness this is completely a study that is based on science and it has nothing to do with religion?
The increasing and decreasing factors are related to religion according to my perception.
Religion is forever considered as a parameter that provides with solution for the miseries of man, we have propagated it this way and this is applicable for all religions.  In all religions, there is something called “forgiving”… It is considered to be a place where your sins can be cleared off.
Everything about human beings like beliefs, discipline, happiness, and everything about human beings is being governed by the principles proposed by religion.  Therefore, every time we look at religion we look at it as a great let out for our miseries and troubles.  And, the path that serves as our drain out for our troubles is something that is being worshipped.
Dear friends, let us list out what we are not worshipping.  We keep praying to everything that troubles us.  We worship everything that helps us in our day-to-day living.  For instance, when you go to villages, there will be people who will be praying to knives, why knife? Is the knife God?  No! If there was no knife our soul would have departed from our body and it would have reached the world of Lord Yama. What is the knife doing? When we are going along in the forest, it plays the role of a big companion and it provides us with the confidence and serves as a weapon to deal with probable dangers in our path. Since the knife as a weapon protects us, it becomes the God for us.
Our natural ancestors were real intelligent.  They respected, prayed and achieved all that they wanted for their lives.  Getting scared of nature formed the major belief system of our ancestors.  In reality, when we least expect, we are forced to experience, every kind of natural happening in our lives.  As humans we will either pray or we will oppose it and we will walk out.  This is indeed human nature.
When this is the case, when we consider a list of things that are worthy of worship, what we can decide is that everything is subject to worship.  This is nature and belief.
“Belief is an entirely different thing from superstition”
We are not dealing with the superstition factor now.  On the basis of the belief that the knife will save us we worship it.  If Shakthivel saves us we pray to it.  Chakra saves us therefore we pray to it. Okay, why should we pray to water? Why should be pray to the waters of the river, why should we pray to the waters of the sea? Why should we pray to fire? Why should we pray to the earth? All these are natural things. All these things can make the most unexpected consequences happen to us.
Suddenly, the waters in the river can rise and it can flood a whole village and wash everyone and everything away.  Then we will die. Suddenly, if fire catches up the whole forest will be burnt away and we will all be destroyed. If an earth quake happens and we go in, we will die.  These are the many natural happenings that are beyond our control.  Therefore, we are looking at all these aspects as God.
We have been converting everything that is scary to us as God. We have been converting everything that has been saving us from fear as a God as well.  Therefore, anything that is based on religion is something that will somehow make human beings regain their faith in the living process despite all natural calamities.
On the basis of religion, the planets in astrology have been used as a tool to somehow make human beings regain their faith in the living process despite all natural calamities, by making the planets as Gods that is all.
In the temples, a place has been allotted to planets.  In reality, before 100 years, there were no such planetary set ups in temples.  If you check in to the Brahadeshwara temple in Tanjavur, there is no such planetary set up in those temples.
For further verification, Vaishnavism that evolved after separation from the Shaivism does not pose planetary gods in their temples, except in very few shrines.  Why did they keep and why they did not keep is a complicated question and this is based on the beliefs of each of these religions.  It is their philosophy and their sastras.  There is no need to argue about the authenticity of these facts. Religion is a very big school. All these religious schools of wisdom to date continue to encourage the sustenance of mankind.
The religions which honored planets by making them worship worthy had their own methods in helping peace for the minds of many troubled minds.
Therefore, astrology is not something that is based on science, but religion had honored astrological planets by absorbing and accepting these planets in to its system.  It has added glory to astrology. What we can tell about religion? Religion accepted astrology!
Even if science did not support astrology, religion has supported astrology.
Just because religion accepted astrology, we cannot call astrology as something that is based on religion.
Religion has accepted many facts in the world and astrology is one of them.  Therefore, astrology is not something about religion.

Western astrology and Indian astrology predictions are completely different

Question:  We are able to see sun sign and moon sign predictions in the newspapers.  Are the predictions for sun and moon signs similar or are they different from each other?  There is a question about how the predictions might differ between these two signs?
  • In Indian astrology, daily or weekly predications are given based on the moon signs.
  • In Western astrology, daily or weekly predications are given based on the sun signs.
There is a very important difference in the Ayanamsha Calculation between Western and Indian astrology.
There is a longitudinal difference between the Sayana method (Tropical) and Sidereal method (Nirayana) involved in marking the planetary positions.  The difference in the number of degrees expressed between the planetary paths defined by the Sayana method and Sidereal method is 24 degrees.
  • In Western astrology, the planetary positions are defined by the Sayana method of calculation.
  • In Eastern astrology, the planetary positions are defined by the Nirayana method of calculation.
What is Sayana method?
Generally, Indian astrological system considers the beginning of Aries at 0 degrees as the starting point to define the planetary orbits.  However, the planetary path of the planets does not start off exactly at 0 degrees in Aries.  The planetary path slants away by a few degrees each year.  At present the planetary path is at – 24 degrees from Aries, which means the starting point for the planetary path starts at Pisces.  Fixing planetary positions starting from Pisces (based on the slant) is the Sayana method.  This is exactly the visual result of how the planets will appear to be in the sky.  Each year, there is a minor variation in the degree of slant (plus or minus) a few degrees and the starting points are adjusted accordingly.  Fixing up the planetary position in this way is followed in the Western Astrological System.
There is a difference in opinion about how many degrees the planetary path slants away each year.  And, there is as well a difference in opinion about the exact year the planetary path was situated in the sign of Aries.
What is Nirayana method?
Since, there is a controversy about the exact slant in degrees and the exact year in which the planetary path used to be at Aries, the Indian Astrological system makes use of the default 0 degrees of Aries as the starting point to calculate the starting points, planetary rashis, and bhavas.
This is done by subtracting – 24 degrees (or as applicable) thereby bringing back the positions to zero degrees in Aries to arrive at the Nirayana figures for marking the planetary positions.
Therefore, there is a fundamental difference in the mathematics applicable for the two astrological systems.  However, the predictions and characteristics allotted for planets and bhavas are the same in both Indian and Western astrological prediction systems.
ASPECTS
There is a major emphasis placed on the aspects factor in western astrology.
The starting point of the ascendant and the starting point of the 10th bhava are very important for Western astrological predictions, they call it the MC.  They consider the 10thbhava as a lucky point and the planets that are placed at a distance of 60 degrees through 120 degrees on either sides of the starting point of the ascendant or the starting point of the tenth bhava are considered to provide great support to the first and tenth bhava, thereby improving good results for the native.
In other words, the planets that aspect the starting point of the ascendant and the starting point of the 10th bhava with 3rd or 5th aspects set at 60 degrees difference or 120 degrees difference, this is considered to be beneficial.
In western astrology, predications are being made based on the measurement of the distance between one planet and the other expressed in terms of specific degrees. Aspects are given a major priority.  There are trine aspects and square aspects defined accordingly.  Square aspects are considered to be those that provide with negative results.  Trine aspects are always considered to be those that provide with positive results.
In Indian astrology, we call this as Parvai; however, it is actually the difference in degrees between two planets. The 120 degrees difference is considered to be one of the best aspects between planets.  The next beneficial aspect is the trine aspect that is a 60 degrees difference.  They say that the 60 degrees difference and 120 degrees difference are good and the planets involved in this aspect provide with good results.
There are square aspects allotted for a distance of 90 degrees, and the 180 degrees aspect for the opposite aspects, which is the 4th and the 7th Kendra Parvai in Indian astrology, is being considered as well.  The planets that are considered to be at 90 degrees and 180 degrees are considered to be those that provide with bad results for the native.  This rule seems to be applicable regardless of whether they are natural benefics or natural malefics.  Whatever be it, they say that these planets land up providing evil effects.
There are no Dhasa periods and related mathematics made use of in Western Astrology.  Based on the above parameters general predictions are provided.  Next to this, according to Gochara (planetary positions) for instance, consider a person who is aged 20 years.  When this is the case to arrive at predictions for this person, the planetary position that might be applicable for the 20th day on which the native was born is taken in to consideration and after a few mathematical calculations, specific predictions are being provided, for a period of one year based on these mathematical derivations for the 20th year.  Similarly for someone who is 30 years, 30th day and so on…For the many number of years for which predictions are to be made, the basic planetary structure and combination and related mathematics is being used for x numbers of years in western astrology.
This is one of the methods used in Western Astrology.
In Indian Astrology, this is not the case.  Basically, we tend to make use of the Nirayana method in the calculation process.  When it comes to aspects (Parvai):
  • All the planets are aspecting the seventh house from wherever they are.
  • Guru (Jupiter) is allotted with the 5th and 9th place respectively.
  • Mars has special aspects like 4 and 8
  • Saturn has special aspects the 3rd and 10th house
  • Are taken in to consideration and predictions are given accordingly.
Along with this:
  • Predications for each bhava
  • Predictions for the bhava lords
  • Predictions based on the position of the different bhava lords in different bhavas
  • Predictions for planetary combinations in different bhavas
  • Predications for planets aspecting each other
  • Predications for dasha bhukthi
And several other rules are applicable when it comes to dealing with Indian astrology.
In western astrology, the rules are less.  There method of delivering predictions is very easy.  In Indian astrology, it is not so.   There are several rules and several experiences and facts involved in providing predictions when it comes to dealing with Indian Astrology.
Since western astrology and Indian Astrology have different math and different rules in the dealing, the predictions might not be similar in many ways.  The planetary degrees vary greatly between Sayana method and Nirayana method.  The predication parameters and planetary degrees taken in to consideration between the two methods vary greatly.
Despite the basic rules and facts applied for each of these individual planets being the same.  The mathematical rules applicable for providing with predictions vary a great deal.
Only a valid research methodology would be able to approve of the degree of accuracy involved in the predictions provided in both of these methods. It is not ethical to be one-sided in opinion about whether this method is correct or that method is correct.
If there is an unethical dispute between astrologers, the world of science would soon reject the science of astrology for lack of scientifically verifiable facts.
Sufficient samples have not been compared and studied so far in our research institute.  And, we expect to bring more to the table when appropriate research has been done.

Can we predict death with astrology?

Can We Predict Death With Astrology?
There is a common question about whether it is possible to predict the death of a human being with the help of the birth chart using astrological methods. Is it possible to state about it accurately? This is a common question raised by several aspiring astrology scholars and students.
Before jumping in to quick solutions for this highly sensitive query, it is important to discuss a few facts about how death actually happens. The different parameters that make death happen to someone are to be explored. There are several opinions forwarded about the concept of predicting death per astrological documentations by past authentic scholars.
10 Death Causing Dangers
There are general theories proposed about death causing dangers for every ascendant (Lagna) per past astrological documentations.
For instance, for those who are born in the sign of Aries, the probable periods of near-death dangers might hit the native to be during the ages of 2, 5, 9, 13, 18, 22, 40, 42, 50, and 55. This mathematical projection is based on mathematical deductions based on the personal experience of the author for a 70 year period. This mathematical projection reveals that if the ascendant native escapes the clutches of death dangers across all these 10 phases, the life of the native can be until age 70 and so on. This is not a unique prediction. Rather, this has been revealed as a general rule.
Per documents, there are 10 death causing dangers by the age of 70 prescribed for each ascendant. The native of the horoscope either escapes or gets trapped in death through each of these dangerous phases in life. Those who escape the death testing times continue to survive. In this method, a standardized age limit has been proposed for every ascendant without insights in to dasha periods, bhukthis or antharam calculations.
This projection about death and related dangers makes us wonder about the quality and accuracy of the proposed theory or math as applicable. A random lagnam and a general idea about so many years of life for the specific lagna.
The different lagnas have been grouped as:
Saram (movable or cardinal signs)
Sthiram (fixed signs)
Ubhayam (dual nature – mutable signs – fixed for some time and movable for some time)
For instance, all cardinal signs have been allotted with 66 years approximately, and within the span of 66 years, the native of the horoscope has been allotted to likely come across death causing dangers through different years, per specific documentations. While such documentations exist, astrological researchers have not been able to arrive at formulas that lead to the 10 death causing risk lines! This is because most of the astrological documentations have been done in a way where the authors of specific clauses have not written down their names rather they have documented names of Gods, Rishis, or Seers as a method of honoring their favorite Gods and Gurus whom they believe have blessed them in arriving at a specific knowledge.
While most documentations and declarations have been done in the names of Gods,
Rishis and Seers, it is still being considered unethical to question the authenticity of such declarations.
When we go deeper in to such ancient documentations, it has been seen that several astrological clauses and information have been given away as extracts from the conversation between Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvathi, and Lord Naradha as having placed queries and so on.
God Based Astrological Clauses
God based astrological clauses could have been probably proposed in a way to make the best use of the strong religious faith of the people of the past era to integrate and ensure appropriate usage of the science of astrology in the mainstream life styles of those days.
Therefore, most astrological documentations of the past have been documented as those that have been declared by The Gods.
When we think about the perspective of the formula based on why such general predictions have been thus written, we are not able to really arrive at a satisfactory decision. This is because most of the documented scripts making the basic foundational language for astrology texts is based on Sanskrit and related scripts.
There have been translations done about such scripts to the Tamil language in poetic forms. However, in such translations some poems are those that have been delivered with a complete understanding of what has been told in the original language and some are those that have been translated with just a partial understanding of the Sanskrit scripts.
Several palm scripts and documentations that might provide the basics leading to such schools of thought about death and related time is not clearly available. This can be probably because the documents got destroyed with the flow of time, war, or due to greed of people involved in mastering such knowledge.
And, we are still not sure about the fate of valid missing proofs that might support such declarations made by Gods, Seers, Rishis, and Astrological authors who proposed such theories.
Therefore, we are not firmly aware of the foundational basis on why the scholars of the past proposed probable limitations for different ascendants and probable death times and near death risks during different ages.
You Are an Astrologer and Someone Is Approaching You
For instance, consider someone approaching you for an astrological reading. The first thing we head on to is to decide on the life span of the native. By virtue of what we are taught:
We check in to the lagna
We check in to the planets in the lagna
We check in to the status of the lagna lord
We check in to the bhava in which the lagna lord stands
We check in to status of the planets that are executing the dhasa and the related evil effects if any.
We check in to the status of the planets that are executing the dhasha-bhukthi and the related evil effects.
After checking through all these parameters, when it is clear that in one way or the other, the above parameters are in some kind of association with the 6, 8 and 12th bhavas and where the lord of the Lagna is also not strong enough to fight through the battle for self-survival, then we recommend the native of the horoscope to be cautious during those periods. This is where we as astrologers sense the pinch of probable near-death risks. This might convert to death or it might not and the native might escape the death traps as well.
Declaration
All we can say as astrological scholars is that, in cases where the native escapes the risk line periods that might lead to death, and then it means that the life span will extend until the next risk phase!
All that the astrologers can say is about the existence of the risk and that longevity is a possibility if the native escapes the trap.
Will the risk of death end, thereby improving prospects of longevity after a specific dhasha, bhukthis or antharam?
Not at all……!
This can be best illustrated pulling out a discussion from the life of The Buddha. Buddha put forth a question to his students asking them about what they think is the promised life span for a human being. One of the disciples stated, 60, another stated, 70, another stated 80 and so on. After listening to the opinions of his disciples, what The Buddha had to say based on his enlightened knowledge base is that “The life span of a human being is measured merely by the size of one breathing cycle, which consists of one unit of inspiration and one unit of expiration?”
The philosophical bearing in this explanation is that, one unit of inspiration and one unit of expiration completes the breathing cycle and therein the lifespan is complete with the cycle. After the completion of the breathing cycle with the expiration, when the human being inspires a new gulp of air, that is considered to be another new birth (hmm…kind of re-incarnation… the same human being is re-born after a mini-death with the completion of expiration).
Mathematical Proposal Tuning Down To Death
With this being the state, when astro-mathematicians sported to estimate about (…nth value of the breathing cycle right from the birth time of the native of a horoscope leading to clinical separation of the body and the life force) which inspiration or expiration process in the breathing cycle of the human being will lead to clinical death, they arrived at a workable yet hard to pin down mathematical proposal.

Longevity Cannot Be Declared For People Who Get Angry Very Often
Rule #1: Do not declare longevity to people who get angry very often.
According to Brihat Jataka, the author has to say that when the native of the horoscope is someone who gets angry very often, then there will definitely be incompatibility between the longevity results given by the mathematical formula versus what will unfold with time. Rule #1 Therefore, it is not advisable to declare the longevity of people who get angry very often.
In the current day era, the idea of tolerance is literally absent in most human beings. People of the past era were tolerant to a great degree and therefore the longevity math worked to a great extent. These days, a vast majority of people will be automatically disqualified from being eligible for the mathematical calculations applicable for the estimation of longevity due to the inherent behavior of frequent outbursts of anger.

Boys born on friday and Chittirai appan theruviley proverbs

There are several concepts revolving around like if a baby boy is born on Friday, it is not good for the family.  There is another proverb which states that if a child is born in the month of Chittirai, then it is indeed not a good addition to the family.  Similarly, there are few proverbs like these that make its rounds in the world of Tamil astrology.  There are few more proverbs like these like “Pooradam Nool Aadadhu…”
We were checking in to the reality of these proverbs, while I was in my astrology office in Vadvalli, the brother of one of my neighbors asked me stating, “I was born in the month of chittirai and many people are stating that I am not a good addition to the family home” He was curious to know how far this was true.  I gave him the following explanation.
This is not something that just one person or family tends to believe, rather this is a belief system that is existent in the whole world of astrology.
There is no reality about the fact associated with Chittirai Appan Theruviley.  In the month of Chittirai, the sun will be in the Rashi of Mesha.  He will be in his exalted degree in the rashi of Mesha.  When the child is being born when the sun is in the exalted degree, then how will it be something that gives dangers to the child?
Generally, sun that is the hero of all the seven planets achieves an exalted disposition in the month of Chitirai (Aries). For children born in this month, the characteristics of the sun like leadership, domination, prestige, pride are likely to be there for these children by nature.  There are nearly 65 crores of people born during this period and every individual born in this time period will have these inbuilt characteristics.  These people are those who might not compromise on their standards.  How are these people likely to send their dads to the streets?
In reality, these are facts that might have been proposed by ordinary astrologers, and this is not something that might have been proposed by astrologers who have a well-researched approach in to the process.  None of the advanced astrological books have indicated these facts as true. In reality, birth in the month of Aries is a good thing.  This is irrespective of whether it is the birth of a boy or that of a girl.  This is a natural formation for the native as well.
For instance, some people would cite out the example of the horoscope of Lord Rama in Valmiki Ramayana.  They will say that Lord Rama was born in the month of Chitirai, therefore, King Dasaratha, the father of Lord Rama died on the streets due to the uncontrollable grief he suffered due to his separation from his son, during the time when Lord Rama accepted penance in to the forest.  Therefore, Chitirai Appan Theruviley.
03:05 ___________
The marriage of Lord Rama is said to have taken place when he was 12 years old.  The next 12 years it has been reported to be the period where he lived with Devi Sita.  Then, at the age of 24 he goes to the forest on penance.  It is during this time that King Dasaratha dies of grief.  The idea of Chittirai Appan Theruviley is applicable only if this should have occurred the sooner Lord Rama was born.
While a horoscope has been proposed for Lord Rama, a horoscope for Lord Dasaratha has not been proposed and we cannot say that the death of Lord Dasaratha was due to Lord Rama, it naturally should have been based on the personal horoscope of King Dasaratha if we could gather some proofs for it.  Therefore, we cannot say that the proverb Chitirai Appan Theruviley works across the board.  The death of King Dasaratha happened only after Lord Rama lived the major part of this life until the age of 24.
Caution
There is no valid proof to propagate this idea.  If there are astrologers telling these facts, then it is representative of the innocence or ignorance of the consultant astrologers.  If astrologers are going to establish facts and fiction to make their livelihood, the science of astrology will disappear faster due to practical lack of real-time proofs for astrological proposals made by astrologers!
As astrologers, by picking on these baseless proverbs, it might be possible to temporarily convince people; however, baseless proposals will be put to backyards with the passage of time and real time expression of facts.
The world of science will soon reject astrology and progress at its pace. If we should develop the capabilities to cooperate at least partially with the astrological world, then we need to discard the bulk of such unnecessary garbage being used in the world of astrology.
Therefore, the baby born in the month of Aries is the baby that is really good and one that will be blessed with lot of fame, and there is no need to develop a discriminatory attitude towards the child.
The Second Myth Is About Baby Boy Births On Friday As Being Inauspicious For The Home
The second myth is about baby boy births on Friday as being inauspicious for the home.  Where did astrologers express this? Of the 7 planets allotted with a day, we have allotted Friday for Venus. Whether the birth on this day be one of a boy baby or that of a girl baby either are good.
According to belief systems Friday was allotted to Goddess Lakshmi. With the Goddess being a female deity, the idea of luck-Friday-and-Girl got correlated.  The belief that <wealth-Lakshmi-and-Girl-Children> are related somehow developed the opposite propaganda like <bad luck – Friday and boys> In reality, this proverb is practically baseless.  It is an idea that survived due to people holding on to such wrong propaganda.
This is not a view point that is established by the science of astrology. Rather than accepting such baseless proposals without valid proof, it helps to get the opinion of researchers who have checked and verified such facts across the board.
In reality, regardless of whether the birth in question is that of a boy or girl on Friday is a good thing.  This is because when considering the auspiciousness of the days, with Friday being a good day, how can it bring bad luck?
The conclusion is that regardless of whether the birth in question is that of a boy or girl on Friday is a good thing.

HOW TO KNOW ABOUT YOURSELF

Thousands of years ago, Astronomy had its roots in Egyptian, Incas of Peru and Aztecs of Mexico.
Egyptians knew the status of planets 4000 years before Christ. They prepared ephemeris. at the same time, Chinese too studied the status of planets. King Hoyangutee built a Planetorium in 2608 BC  Babylonians practiced astrology a few centuries before Christ. Pythagoras (530 BC) propounded that the earth is rotating on its own axis. aristarchus (around 275 BC  claimed that earth revolves around Surya  Aristilan and Timoris (320 - 260 BC  prepared an index of positions of several stars. These studies of planets and their movement lead to study the effects of such movements on mankind, and so astrology was born.
